ClimateHot days in summer (42° Centigrade one day in February, 2003) and occasional snow in winter, with fairly regular frosts. Generally, the rainfall is sufficient to maintain a green hue, however this year so far, everthing is brown due to mud! Check out the February 2005 flooding..., the August 2005 snow... or August 2005 Aurora AustralisUntil recent times, the valley produced apples and small fruits, but now is comprised of small acreages, many hosting horses.

GeologyJurassic dolerite and Permian mudstone are the major rocks outcropping in the valley. An impressive, highly fossiliferous, mudstone cliff face towers above the rivulet itself, providing a small rainforest environment with tree ferns. The cool and wet conditions also encourage the growth of weed species such as Elisha's Tears.
